In October and November 2024, over 600 vulnerabilities were addressed within the Linux ecosystem, impacting distributions such as Debian, Red Hat, Gentoo, OpenSUSE, and Arch Linux. These vulnerabilities range from information disclosure to privilege escalation and code execution. Among these, 13 severe vulnerabilities have been identified with a high potential for exploitation, including two that are currently under active attack, necessitating immediate remediation. To mitigate risks, it is crucial for users to upgrade their systems to the latest versions and apply the necessary security patches along with implementing appropriate security controls.
